Egyptian AK47
The Egyptian AK47 is just one of the long lists of variants of the most iconic firearm in the world. It is often referred to as the MAADI, which is simply the name of the company that manufactures it. The firearm was massively imported then in the United States and it was made all possible because of Steyr-Daimler-Puch from New Jersey. It happened during the early period of the 1980s. Many of those who saw and collected the firearm recognized that it is very similar to the Russian AKM.

Egyptian AK47 as a Firearm
It is an automatic AKM rifle that was once imported from the suggested country. The rifles from the variant were manufactured by the Maadi Company for the Engineering Industries Maadi-Cairo, Egypt. The factor of the Egyptian AK47 has a long history before it was finally set in Egypt. Many stated that these firearms were originally made with the Soviet AK. At the time, it was also the most similar from the Soviet AK that can be found and bought.

Its Features
There are reports that the wood in the item is not built well. However, it still remained an Egyptian AK in all aspects. If there is one thing that it is proud of, it would be its ability to run 100% whatever type of round it uses. It was also upgraded then with its thumbhole stock already eliminated. Many of the parts were replaced and were upgraded with American-made parts, including a pistol grip, handguards, complete trigger, stock and gas piston.
Now, it already features wood handguards as well as buttstock that are laminated. The lower handguard now features the right hand swells while the buttstock was reinforced with pins made from steel and installed in all necessary places. The wood material used for the AK came from Finland, but each one of it is finished in the country itself. Soviet configuration was also made with the firearm by means of designing a pistol grip made of plastic that is injection-molded. All metal components of the item are similar to those used in the Russian AKM. Some designs were also omitted from it in the past years like 4-gas escape holes located at the gas block’s side.

Maadi firearms can serve well as a very good weapon if the user knows how they can get the best from it. Egyptian AK47 also features a front-sight canted, which most AK features. With this, users are given the chance to make a good target and hit just the right spot. It is designed to allow the usage of hi-cap magazines as well as drums. When filling it with ammo, you would love that it digests any ammo that you feed it with. Yes, this AK variant may not perfectly serve as a match target rifle, but you can rely on it.

There is a long list of AK variants made in the history that up to now are still in use and being manufactured. However, it is rare for plenty of information to be found about it. It is just hoped that the small piece of information provided is already enough to give you an idea of what the Egyptian AK47 is and what made it a very popular line of AKs.
